As the second largest research institute in the Republic of Slovenia, the National Institute of Chemistry is actively engaged in the process of creating added value in research, education and the transfer of knowledge into the economic sector.

Since 2012 National Institute of Chemistry has been committed to the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative and its principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption.

The institute's further success and development relies on its employees. National Institute of Chemistry is currently in the process of acquiring the Family Friendly Enterprise Certificate. We have a scholarship programme in use for young people, who after completing their undergraduate studies can join training programmes for early stage researchers. The greatest accomplishments in scientific research in the scope of the institute’s activities are rewarded with Pregl Awards.
