PROF. DR. HERMAN GVARDJANČIČ: »REVELATIONS«
Herman Gvardjančič, a longtime professor at the Faculty of Education and later at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, has received nearly all of Slovenia’s highest artistic honors, including the Prešeren Lifetime Achievement Award. His work has been exhibited widely both in Slovenia and internationally and is part of many prominent national and global collections.
Renowned for his exceptional sensitivity, Gvardjančič has consistently maintained a profound relationship with reality in his work—ethically nuanced and philosophically deep in its engagement with the existential experience.
His powerful painterly expression, driven by continuous artistic exploration and creative fervor, opens a unique world to the viewer. In this world, seemingly simple motifs—trees, houses, hills—speak with unexpected intensity and emotional truth, transcending traditional visual language to evoke experiences on the edge of mystical revelation.
The exhibition will be on display until July 15, 2025.
